CGI Update 5/12/2019

Dear Parents,

Camp is just over a month away and we're getting really excited! As we are putting together an unforgettable summer program we have some VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS for you:

It has come to our attention that many of our counselors are still in school on our intended start date of June 24th. We have, therefore decided to push our start date to Tuesday, June 25th. In order not to lose a day of camp, we will have camp on Thursday, July 4th.

Our Camp / Counselor Meet & Greet will be on Monday, June 24 at 5:00 PM. Enjoy Ice Pops, Meet your child's counselor and select camp shirts. This is a great time to fill in your child's counselor or the Head Staff with any last minute information regarding your child.

Completed Forms
Every camper must have completed Camper Information & Health Forms to attend camp. We are requesting that ALL FORMS BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN JUNE 14TH.

To locate these forms please sign in here and click on 'incomplete tasks / forms' on your account manager page.

Camp Gan Israel has always maintained that all campers be immunized. The recent outbreak of Measles locally and across the country only reinforces the necessity for this. In addition to campers, this year we will require that staff show immunity as well.

Please find your camp statement attached. Please check that everything adds up. If you have any questions regarding your bill, please reach out to me asap.

Parent Handbook
A copy of our Parent Handbook can be found on our website here. For your benefit, please read through it and make sure you are familiar with its contents.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or if you need assistance with anything.

Have a wonderful week!

Camp Gan Israel Announces New Head Counselor
Dear Parents,

With gratitude to Hashem, we are excited to welcome aboard Mrs. Shiffy Abboudi as our new Head Counselor!

An assistant Pre-K Morah at ASHAR, Shiffy lives with her Husband Roni and their four children in New City. She has over 20 years of experience working with children in various capacities including school, camp and as a Zoomba & fitness trainer.

When meeting Shiffy, her affable personality and caring nature are immediately noticed. We feel Shiffy was sent to us by Divine Providence to take Gan Izzy to the next level and can't wait to experience her creativity and all the amazing activities she has already started planning.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us along the way and offered suggestions. You're continued assistance and support are always appreciated.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week and looking forward to an amazing summer together!

Rabbi Simcha Morgenstern
Director, Camp Gan Israel
